Learn AI properly, starting from zero

Most people who've "tried AI" have used ChatGPT the way they'd use Google — type a question, read the answer, close the tab. That's about 5% of what it can do for a business, and the other 95% isn't complicated. It just needs showing to you in order, by someone who isn't trying to impress you with words.

The path

Three steps, in this order

Each one only makes sense once you've done the one before it. That's why it's a path and not a library of videos you'll never finish.

Asking for what you actually want

The single biggest reason AI gives people useless answers is that it was asked a vague question. This module is about how to ask — giving it the background, telling it who it's writing for, showing it an example of what "good" looks like, and telling it what to leave out. Same tool, completely different results.

You'll practise on real jobs from your own week: a quote, a chase-up email, a job description, a reply to an awkward review. By the end you'll have a handful of requests that work every time, saved and ready to reuse — so you stop starting from a blank box.

Setting up your own AI assistant

Next, you stop re-explaining your business every single time. You'll set up ChatGPT or Claude — whichever you prefer, we'll cover both — so it already knows your prices, your services, your area, your tone of voice and the things you never agree to. You give it those once and it keeps them.

We'll also cover what's safe to put in and what isn't, in ordinary terms rather than legal ones — so you can use it on real customer work without worrying about what you've just handed over.

Building your first simple agent

An "agent" just means AI that carries out a job instead of only answering you. The difference is doing versus talking: an assistant tells you what to write in the follow-up email, an agent sends it, notes that it sent it, and reminds you if nobody replies by Thursday.

You'll build one small, genuinely useful one — start to finish, no code — and watch it run without you. Most people pick follow-ups or enquiry replies. It's the module where it stops being interesting and starts being useful.

plenty of people finish module 3 and never need to hire anyone. genuinely fine by us

Who this is for

Owners and managers of ordinary businesses — trades, clinics, agencies, shops, practices, anything with customers and a phone. People who are busy, mildly suspicious of the hype, and would rather understand a thing before they buy it.

You don't need to be technical. If you can use email and a booking calendar, you have every skill this requires.

  • It's free, and it stays free

No card to enter, nothing that expires in 14 days, no locked module three steps in.

  • Nothing is assumed

Every term gets explained the first time it appears. If we slip and use jargon, tell us and we'll rewrite it.

  • You can ask questions

There's a community of other owners doing the same thing, so you're not stuck at 11pm wondering if you've broken something.

  • You keep what you build

It's in your own accounts, set up by you. Nothing here depends on staying subscribed to us.

The community

Where the questions get answered

The training is the path. The community is the bit that stops you getting stuck on step two for a fortnight.

Before you sign up

An evening each if you sit down and do them properly, and you can do them weeks apart. The first module pays for its own time almost immediately, because you stop rewriting the same emails from scratch.

You can do modules one and two on the free versions. The paid ones (about £20 a month) make module two noticeably better because they let you save your setup properly. We'll tell you when it's worth it and when it isn't — we don't get anything either way.

Because it's how we meet people, and because a business owner who understands this stuff is far easier to work with later than one who doesn't. Some people finish it, build their own setup and never speak to us again. The rest come back knowing what they want, which makes that job much better for everyone.

Yes, and for some people it's the right call — if the thing eating your week is the phone ringing while you're on a job, learning to write better prompts won't fix that. Tell us what needs handling and we'll say honestly whether it's a build or a training job.
